On July 28th the J&E Coalition met with the new police chief Karl Oakman. During the meeting he shared his positive influences as a child as well as the struggles he faced growing up.
Below are a list of initiatives he plans to do in the future:
-Put social workers in the division to help with mental illness calls
-Wants to work with community partners that will come and participate when the Chief goes to community parks
-KCK police department to provide ID's free to the community.
-KCK police department will provide Drivers Education to youth in the community.
-KCK Police Department will update the dash board on their website.
